Fracture - Upper - Distal Phalanx
Three areas of fractures are seen in distal phalangeal injuries. Tuft, shaft and base of the phalanx. Dorsal base of the phalanx may involve the insertion of the tendons. If these fractures involve more than 25% of the articular surface  they represent quite significant treatment problems. Similarly volar fractures may involve FDP insertion.
Treatment options include:
Non-operative treatment
CRIF
ORIF
